Campus Master Plan

The functionality of the landscape at William & Mary is largely a response to the campus topography. As the college formulated initiatives to achieve the goals set in the Campus Master Plan, existing conditions were assessed on the basis of their successful contribution to the overall structure of the campus. The plan included strategies that encourage the development of open space as an integral part of all future projects at William & Mary. Landscape design guidelines help define the framework for implementation of these initiatives.
