Innovation Campus

Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus is the northern anchor to the public realm of North Potomac Yards. Centered on a large campus green, the northern part of the campus is designed to host large gatherings or small groups. Just west of the lawn, a flexible plaza doubles as a service yard and provides a paved space for seated lectures, tented parties, and seated meals when not accommodating deliveries. The south plaza is sprinkled with landscape planters, providing hangout spaces at the heart of the campus. The streetscape rings the campus with trees set in wide, sustainable planters.
