Located between the campus and Herring Run, the landscape design anchors upper and lower plazas to capitalize on tertiary spaces and create settings with an educational focus that are extensions of the instructional programs within the building.  Situated at the east edge of Morgan State’s campus, the site, like the building, performs many roles and supports a variety of functions simultaneously while integrating into the fabric of the campus context.

The landscape, particularly along North Cold Spring Lane, serves as a gateway for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic arriving from the east. The lower plaza is situated at the building’s first floor entrance while the upper plaza at the building’s third floor entrance provides a space geared toward active use with its adjacency to the Stadium and main campus pathways.
