INFO.

East Waterfront Park is a linear park on the shoreline of Baltimore Peninsula. The park is a link in the connected linear waterfront of Baltimore Peninsula designed to be a model of sustainability and regeneration in an urban setting. Grounded in the principles of providing public access to the water while serving as a high performance landscape, it merges recreational and ecological infrastructure.

The park provides access for pedestrians, runners, children and bikes along the water’s edge. The old concrete pier serves as a superstructure for elements of water activity including a water taxi. Kayaks and other boats will dock and launch from its edge. The park will aim to restore critical Chesapeake Bay aquatic and inter-tidal habitat. Ecological interventions include living shoreline with fish hives, tidal flow wetland planters and floating wetlands in the water, and stormwater gardens along the length of the shoreline portion of the park.
